MOM AND WALT

This past week Terry & I went to Klamath Falls to get in a visit with my mom and Walt. A bonus was staying with Molly, Craig, and kids. Mom is not doing very well at all. It is hard to see her unable to care for herself. At times she comes to life and smiles and jokes. Most times she just isn't there. The awesome thing is the way Walt cares for her. He tries to make sure she is happy and keeps her stimulated as much as possible. It is a hard job to be someones full time care giver. Walt does it with love and respect. We went to dinner one night to be with my brothers and Raury and her family. Walt loaded mom into her wheelchair and brought her along so she would be able to enjoy the evening out with everyone. She did.
I put this picture in to show the extent of Walt's concern for my mom. Every day he gets her up, bathes her, dresses her, feeds her, and puts on her makeup, styles her hair and makes sure she is at her best. He has even colored her hair. It was good to see her, maybe for the last time. I love her, and Walt for caring for her so lovingly.

As for Molly, Craig and kids, they are awesome! We had a great time with them, but sorry to say, I was so busy playing with the kids in the time we had, I didn't get any good pictures.
Kole is growing up to be a handsome, fun loving young man who likes to wrestle and snuggle. Chase is so smart and also very handsome. He likes to try to trick me, but I'm too smart! Krew is the funniest little guy. He will talk your leg off and say the most interesting stuff. Christa is a beauty. She snuggled right up to us the minute we got there. She has a good sense of humor and really loves to play with Papa. It was amazing to watch her with him. We love them all.

PRESIDENT'S DAY

Terry and I really got into President's
Day this year. Can you guess who we are? We aren't the best at this, but it was fun. Some of the other people there were amazing...Bill Clinton, George and Abe.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

What a man. Yesterday Terry came home from work early with a bouquet of flowers. He came home so I wouldn't have to deal with the cable guy for the 2nd day in a row. That's love. He also brought me a new silver watch to replace the one somewhere in the bowels of our central vac system (that baby could suck up a small child!). Next he said to get dressed up and took me to P.F. Chang's where we were the only ones who had reservations so we did not have to wait. On Friday night in SLC that's a big deal.
After we ate a great meal of walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, grilled asparagus, and fried rice he said now we are going for a ride. and a walk. He parked by Temple Square and I thought we were just going for a walk at night, in our dress clothes, in 30 degree weather. But no, we walked to Abravenel Hall where he had gotten tickets to the Utah Symphony with the King's Singers. It was a great night.
We had the most fun. I really love and appreciate that he would go to such effort to make sure we had such a good time together. He is the best. I love him more all the time.

SO VERY SORRY!!!

I just realized today that one of the songs on my playlist had the big "F" word in it! So very sorry if you happened to hear it. It is gone now, and I feel pretty stupid for not knowing.
That's not something I would do on purpose...really. Obviously I never listen to a whole song.

GREAT FIRESIDE

Last night Terry and I went to a great fireside presented by General Authority Emeritus Vaughn J. Featherstone. He was amazing. He began with a few stories which I will try to retell, but sorry to say not as well as he did. He told of a young man who asked a beautiful young woman to marry him. She told him to go ask her father. The young man thought, " I knew that her father was dead, and knowing the kind of life that he led, I knew just what she meant when she said,"Go talk to my father".
Another one was about a guy who wanted to give his girlfriend a good night kiss. He felt that he should ask first. After asking her if she would like a sweet good night kiss she replied that she never kissed on the last date!
Anyway, his focus was on love...it's power and never failing greatness. He said that the day men truly learned how to love would be the day they rediscovered fire. I wish I could remember all he said, but there was so much and so many things to take in that I can not do justice to the evening. He also said there is no object more blessed than that which faces adversity, accept that which helps to relieve the adversity. I appreciate his taking the time to talk to our Stake and was blessed by attending.

A SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND FOR ALL

Rowdy and Diane all ready for their interviews. Don't they look great? They both were very successful i n preparing for their move to SLC.
So, after the stress of interviews, Saturday afternoon included a round of wii games. We decided we should actually go to a bowling alley and give it a try. As we are all great wii bowlers you can imagine how well we did at the real thing!

Here are some great action shots.
Max, cool as always.
Keiler, really got the hang of it! Look at that form!

Jordan, the only real bowler just looks hot!

This says it all!!

Diane's got the best action!

But to add insult to injury for all those preceding bowlers...I, the Grandma won the first game, scoring my best game ever!!! We'll have to go again. Maybe to a different alley.
