Washington, D.C.

We spent the last week in D.C. It was much more interesting and fun than I expected. We found the city easy to negotiate and friendly. I can't count the times we were overcome with emotion. First up are pictures of the Lincoln memorial, where other visitors, many who didn't speak English, were moved to tears. Sorry my blogging skills are so bad. I can't seem to type wherever I want.

How fun! Did you have the chance to go into the Smithsonian museums? Did you stay in a nice hotel? It's really cool to be able to see the different monuments up close. Lincoln is HUGE!

We saw everything. Very nice hotel. We were close enough to walk everywhere, but all totaled, it was lots of walking. When we were riding the trolly to Arlington Cemetary it was amazing to look out across the city and see how far we had walked. We went to 5 museums.

Love the outfits - especially that hat that Terry has on. Where was that last year at this time, eh?
